The PSU Bookstore Board of Directors is dedicated to serving the students and the PSU community through scholarships and endowment and to ensuring the longevity of PSU bookstore services

Portland State university Bookstore Board of Directors is a non-profit business dedicated to continually seek ways to benefit PSU students and the PSU community

By making scholarships available to PSU students and involvement in other PSU projects we hope to make a difference in the lives of PSU students.

The Board of Directors is made up of People who care for the future of students and faculty of Portland State. Board members are made of faculty, staff and students of Portland State University and those from the community that wish to provide support for the Portland State community. Our History

​

The Portland State Bookstore had humble beginnings, as a co-op organized by students at the Vanport Extension Center.   Founded in 1946, the college provided education to servicemen and women returning from World War II.    ”The first store, organized as a co-op by students, operated out of an apartment closet in Vanport. Reflecting the needs of the young school’s student families, the store stocked as many diapers as it did books”.   Continue Reading

2018-2019 Highlights

SCHOLARSHIPS

The PSU Bookstore Scholarship awards student recipients for the school year to assist with the cost of education. To apply for the PSU Bookstore Scholarship, visit

Through contributions to the President's Equal Access Scholarship, support is provided to students from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including racial and ethnic backgrounds, that are traditionally underrepresented in higher education.  Visit the PSU Scholarships website to learn more.

PROGRAMS

Cash donations to the PSU Food Pantry benefited currently enrolled students as a resource to acquire food items on a regular basis in a welcoming, inclusive, dignified environment.

A proud donor to the Simon Benson Awards Dinner.  Proceeds from this event benefit the Fund for PSU, and help support students, faculty, and innovative new programs.
